The Drakeford Company's plan to develop the 7 acre parcel located at the corner of Statesville Ave and Oaklawn just a half-mile out of the uptown has been recently modified. The new plan calls for two new condo buildings located in the center of the community replacing the previously planned townhomes.
The new buildings will feature 2br 2bath flats just under 1,100 sf and will be priced from the $160's. Sales are expected to commence in the next 90 days and will be available semi-exclusively through Tim for a period of time before being released for public sales.
The development( yet to be officially named) will also feature 50 townhomes priced from $185k for approximately 1,400sf 2br 2.5 bath. Several buildings may be modified to feature 3BR 3.5 bath floor plans that will run around 2,100 sf priced in the $225k range.
This development will be the first of several planned developments centered around the NC Music Factory scheduled to open in 2007. Although it is more likely that the Music Factory will get in the full swing in early 2008, there are many more plans to come for this area.
