Bravo...Encore

Arguably the most innovative new condominium to be announced in Charlotte thus far, Encore is a 20-unit condo that will be built on Tryon and 6th St.

The unique characteristic that makes this project so special is the car elevator that will deliver the owners, while still in their vehicles, to the front door of their homes.

These auto elevators are more common in larger international cities such as Amsterdam and London. This auto elevator will be the first of its kind in the US. The world's tallest building in Shanghai, China contains this same elevator which is utilized by a BMW dealership that operates on the 95th floor of the building. On the Encore website, they say that it will only take 1 minute to travel from the street level to the top of the building on this innovative elevator.

With only 20 units, this building will be targeted to those discriminating buyers looking for spacious layouts, luxurious interior finishes, prestigious privacy, and superior location.

The floor plans range from 3,000 - 6,800 SF. There is one floor plan that is two levels tall, where the rest of the units are single level layouts.

With each unit containing 2 or 4 parking spaces, the residents will be able to unload their groceries directly into their homes from their automobile's parked just outside their front door. A rooftop terrace will hold a swimming pool that will be available for use by owners only. The building will also contain 3-levels of office space, a space for a restaurant, a theatre lounge, and an amenities floor for residents.

Located on the same site as Encore, The Carolina Theatre will also be restored as part of this redevelopment of a much deteriorated corner of the Uptown. After over 20 years of decay, this theatre will be restored to its original glory.

The price tag on these homes ranges from...$1.5Mto just over $5M.

Sounds like a lot?

Maybe it is, but consider this: The Trust was a 8 unit condo with units ranging in price from $1.5M-$4M for 3,000-6,000SF. The Trust had nearly no amenities with no on-site parking. By the way...The Trust is SOLD OUT.

As people continue to look for more luxurious ways to simply life from their large houses, buildings like Encore are to be more and more common.

To this building, I say, "Bravo...Encore!"
